Adding AIs, GAs, and Other People to a Class
AIs, GAs or other people you would like to have access to your class space must be added manually if they are not on the official class roster. You must have the IU usernames of the people you wish to add to your class.
- Log into Oncourse at http://oncourse.iu.edu. The CAS login button is at the top right of your screen.
- Choose the course you are working on from the top button bar.
- Choose Site Info from the menu on the left.
- At the top of the Site Info screen are many action links. Choose Add Participants.
- Add the usernames of the people you want added to your class in the Username(s) box. People unaffiliated with IU can be granted access using the Guest(s) box.
- Participant Roles can be assigned individually or as a group. Choose one of the options and click the Continue button at the bottom of the form.
- On the new screen, choose Access for students or guests. Choose Maintain to grant people the ability to author and change the site. Click Continue.
- Choose whether or not to inform the new participants via email that they have been added to your course. Click Continue.
- If the list of new participants is as you want it, click Finish. The new participants now appear in your participant's list for the course.
