Oncourse CL: Uploading Old Web Pages, Word and Other Files
The Resources section of a course workspace was specifically designed to store files for class use. This is where assignments, readings not on E-reserve, and old web pages that contain images from DIDO should be put.
To upload a file to the Resources area of a course:
- Log into Oncourse at http://oncourse.iu.edu. The CAS login button is at the top right of your screen.
- Choose the course you are working on from the top button bar.
- Choose Resources from the menu on the left.
- On the Resources screen there is an open folder with the course number. To the right of this folder are action links. Choose Add.
- On the new screen choose File Upload from the Change Item Type pull-down menu.
- Complete the Add Item(s) form by browsing for you file, inputting a title, and choosing a copyright status. In the case of old web pages remember you are uploading a file with an .html or .htm extension.
- Click the Add button at the bottom of the form.
- The file will now appear as being in the course resources folder.
To create a sub-folder in the Resources area of a course:
- On the Resources screen there is an open folder with the course number. To the right of this folder are action links. Choose Add.
- The default add action is to add a new empty folder. Complete the form by giving your new folder a name.
- Click the Add button at the bottom of the form.
- A new sub-folder of your course resources folder is added to the list of available resources.
- To the right of this folder are action links. Use the Add link to upload files into this folder as above.
