Education & Outreach
The Indiana University Digital Library Program (DLP) sponsors various digital library educational and outreach opportunities for Indiana University affiliates and beyond.
Since Fall 2003, the DLP, in conjunction with the School of Library and Information Science, has held a successful brownbag series. Topics range from project planning to project overviews, including specific talks on digitization, metadata and technology. Brown bag sessions are open to anyone interested in issues concerning digital libraries.
Since Fall 2007, the Metadata Discussion Group has been meeting on a monthly basis to discuss articles relating to a current metadata topic. The group has no formal "membership" -- discussions are open to anyone from the Libraries, SLIS, or elsewhere on campus who is interested in the topic under discussion.
