Digitization Internship
The digitization internship within the IU Libraries encompasses many aspects of producing digital content for digital access and preservation from various analog materials. This internship includes tasks such as scanning, technical metadata capture and quality control assessment required for our various projects including sheet music, archival collections and book materials.
Duties:
- Scanning documents, photographs, maps, etc.
- Technical metadata and other record keeping associated with each project
- Manual and automatic quality control
- File and production rate tracking
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Photoshop or similar imaging software
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Experience working with color critical materials preferred
- Experience working with archival materials is preferred
