Seminary Square

Building on left was constructed in 1855 and was used by Literary Department. $10,000 or almost half of the total cost of the building was donated by the people of Bloomington and Monroe County. In 1897 this building and the old campus were sold to the city of Bloomington for public school purposes at a cost of $10,500. From 1897-1914, this building served as the Bloomington High School.

Building on right is Science Hall constructed in 1873 and destroyed by fire in 1883.
