Main points of Variations2 Experimental Search logs analysis and links to details in report: Basic Search was used the most by far, probably due to the fact that it is the default search option. Most Basic and Advanced Searches were for Creator or Work Title, either separately or in combination. Misspelled search terms were entered in every search field (creator, work title, and performer). Advanced Search offered more options for searching than Basic Search but those options were used very little. Most searches in Advanced Search utilized only 1 or 2 of the fields and filters in the search form (Creator and Work Title were the most common). The same can be seen in Basic Search - most searches used only 1 or 2 of the available search fields and filters.
