Hobert "Hobie" Billingsley, born on December 2, 1926, shares the story of his life. He talks about growing up in an impoverished, broken family. He recalls joining the YMCA at a young age, and through that began diving, which was a major turning point in his life. He discusses the focus diving put into his life, and describes the many championships and competitions he was involved in. He discusses fulfilling his dream to attend Ohio University and the hardships he endured in order to study there. Billingsley talks about his time serving in the United States Army Air Corps. He recalls working with his best friend in their water show before becoming a coach at Indiana University.
