In this interview, Rosa Lee Patrick Jennings, assisted by her daughter, Elizabeth Jennings Morehead, recalls the tutelage she recieved under Melvyn Douglas' father, Edouard Hesselberg, around the turn of the century (ca. 1901). Jennings recalls the day that Hesselberg, an accomplished and acclaimed pianist who had performed throughout the world, announced the birth of his son, Melvyn, in class.
