About Digitization Services

The IU Digital Library Program (DLP) digitizes a variety of media formats including image, text, audio and video to support digital library projects. We also serve as consultants for IU departments and individuals with questions regarding digital imaging.

The DLP often digitizes materials in cooperation with IU departments, librarians, and faculty members. Depending on the project, we can work for hire, off our budget, or help put together pilot projects intended to raise funds for a larger project. We are also available to advise on appropriate hardware, software, and procedures for digitizing.

6 Epson Expression 10000XL - flatbed scanners
- Transparency adapter
- 2400 dpi optical resolution
- 12" x 17" scanning area for reflective materials
- Used primarily for tabloid-sized materials
Epson Perfection 4990- Photo flatbed scanner
- Transparency adapter
- 4800 dpi optical resolution
- 8"x10" scanning area for reflective and transparent materials
- Used primarily for large-sized transparent materials and small reflective items
Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED multiple film format scanner
Phase One P45 digital back on Hasselblad H1 camera
2 Fujitsu fi-6770 high speed sheet-fed and flatbed scanner
Konica Minolta 7000C MKII plenary book scanner
